Former midwife, I
change activity in 2018 to continue to take care of you, but this time
in a different way.
In junior high, my sister used to
make fun of the hours I spent getting my outfits ready for the next day. It's
true that I love it, like going to thrift shops, looking at fashion shows and
looking for an answer to that inescapable question: "What
would go well with this outfit?".
For me, dressing up is
a way of feeling good. Choosing comfortable clothes and looks that
represent a part of us. Giving yourself confidence by assuming a style in which
you feel beautiful. Spending quality time with friends, discussing our latest
finds.
Whatever our
ages, our origins, our professions, our periods, we all deserve to
feel good. It's our duty to allow ourselves this pleasure, futile for
some but essential for our balance, that of deciding part of
who we are by the way we dress. The pleasure of
choosing the setting in which we will live our lives, our moments of happiness,
as well as our difficulties.
To share this
passion, after several years in maternity and the birth of my two daughters,
I decided to change careers and opened the first Et Suzette boutique. Between these
four walls and through social networks, I share my selections and offer
tips for putting together a Suzette look.
Suzette is casual,
feminine and has a trendy edge. Neither too simple nor too complicated, neither
too bland nor too flashy. Suzette is the right balance for me. The
look in which I feel comfortable and ready to face everyday life.
I opened the first
boutique in Armentières, my home town. It's also a town marked by the
textile industry, of which it was a mecca in the 19th century. It made sense to me that Suzette
was born in the "city of canvas", which once boasted so many
weaving and spinning factories. This city and Flanders inspire my winter outfits
: knitwear, comfortable jeans, jackets...
Despite the difficulties of
being both a mom and an entrepreneur, a community was quickly created. Maybe
because you've sensed that I'm doing this from the heart. To meet the
growing demand I'm launching an online boutique in 2019 and opening a
second physical boutique in Dunkirk, the place of my summer vacations that inspires me
summer outfits, dresses, a pair of sandals, light fabrics that
fly in the wind.
Thank you all for
allowing me to retranscribe my universe, collection after collection, and for having
the opportunity to enlarge the Suzette family. We are now a
team of 6 women to welcome you in our boutique or to prepare your orders
with always the same mantra that the carnival-goers of Dunkirk will recognize:
"And when you love each other, there's no problem".
We'll do our utmost to
keep improving Suzette.
